Meet The Founder

Blacktail Kitchens is led by Andy Austin, a carpenter, joiner and kitchen installation specialist with nearly three decades of hands-on experience.

Andy began his career in carpentry at 16, completing a five-year apprenticeship at Royal Ascot Racecourse before qualifying as a joiner and developing the precision, discipline and attention to detail that still define his work today.

Over time, his work became increasingly focused on kitchen installation, where careful preparation, accurate fitting and a properly managed process make the greatest difference to the finished result.

Alongside kitchen installation, Andy also spent many years designing and building made-to-measure fitted furniture and wardrobes, producing bespoke work that demanded millimetre-accurate joinery and refined finishing. That background continues to influence the way every kitchen is installed today.

Why Clients Choose Blacktail Kitchens

Clients choose Blacktail Kitchens because the installation is handled with the same care as the kitchen design itself.

A Structured Approach

Kitchen renovation involves far more than fitting cabinets.

It requires planning, coordination and consistent oversight from start to finish. Blacktail Kitchens provides a single point of responsibility throughout the project, ensuring each stage is scheduled, managed and executed properly.

Trusted electricians, plumbers, decorators and flooring specialists are coordinated where required so the installation progresses smoothly and the finished result reflects the quality of the design.

Each project is approached methodically, with respect for your home and an uncompromising standard of workmanship.
